Designed by RBB ARCHITECTS, INC and construction by Millie and Severson Inc., the Plaza Tower is Phase II of the Three-Phase Master Plan Implementation completed by RBB. This 250,000 sf Plaza Tower was completed in 2012 at a cost of approximately $140 million. It consists of two floors with Critical Care beds, two floors of Med/Surgery beds, and contains 11 state-of-the-art surgical suites and procedure rooms. The lower level Inpatient Surgery Department is adjacent to the newly relocated Imaging Department and expanded Emergency Department. Construction of the project included extensive recycling of building materials and constructions waste. The project also includes a pedestrian bridge connecting to the existing hospital and the addition of new landscape gardens.
